Southend Landmarks

This Google Earth view of Southend Airport (SEN) shows where VH-XBA (then HZ-123) had been stored for approximately six years. Also shown are the ATC Lasham hangar and the resident Vulcan. Runway 06/24 is 1605 metres (5266 feet) long. The disused cross runway now serves as Taxiway B and as an aircraft hard stand. The exact date of this photo is unknown. The red dot marks the usual location of VH-XBA while under restoration.

Zooming in on the image above, VH-XBA (then HZ-123) can be seen literally "parked on the fence" at Southend. The aircraft is clearly a Boeing 707-138B.
