On 9 April 1971, VH-EBU suffered a bird strike on take-off from Calcutta. The aircraft returned to Calcutta where the Captain and engineering staff are seen examining the damage. The Captain is believed to be David Garland*. The engineers are probably BOAC Calcutta staff.
