Project Patron, Dr Ron Yates, clearly enjoying the sight of VH-XBA flying
over Longreach. Forty-nine years earlier, as the first aeronautical
engineer employed by Qantas, he had been stationed at Boeing in Seattle
where he supervised the purchase and construction of this very same
aeroplane. Also enjoying the significance of the moment are QFM Chairman,
Warwick Tainton (wearing a hat) and former Qantas Flight Service Director,
Stephen Berry.
