The photographer, Norman King, became intimately familiar with XBA's toilet system during the restoration at Southend. Therefore, he has complete empathy with Carlos who is seen servicing the toilets under the watchful gaze of Peter Elliott (with screwdrivers in pocket) at Los Angeles on 11 December.
